न अन् ऋग्वेद विनीतस्य न अ यजुर्वेद धारिणः ।न अ-साम वेद विदुषः शक्यम् एवम् विभाषितुम् ।। वाल्मीकि रामायण 4/3/28
राम कहते हैं कि जिस व्यक्ति से मैंने अभी-अभी बात की थी, वह ऋग्वेद में अच्छी तरह से प्रशिक्षित था, उसके पास यजुर्वेद, सामवेद के विद्वतापूर्ण ज्ञान को याद करने की अपार शक्ति है। वैदिक व्याकरण और संबंधित ग्रंथों के विद्वतापूर्ण आदेश के बिना इस प्रकार की प्रभावशाली और हृदयस्पर्शी बात असंभव है। इस प्रकार, श्री राम ने स्वीकार किया कि हनुमान जी वेदों के प्रबुद्ध विद्वान थे।
Rama says that the person with whom I just talked was well trained in the Rigveda, has enormous power to remember Yajurveda, scholarly knowledge of Samaveda. This type of impressive and heart-touching talk is impossible without a scholarly command of Vedic grammar and related texts. Thus, Shri Rama acknowledged that Hanuman Ji was an enlightened scholar of the Vedas.
